HFMA submitted a comment letter to CMS on key issues contained in the proposed 2016 Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems for Acute Care published in the April 30, 2015 Federal Register.
HFMA members have expressed concerns regarding the proposals related to:
- Payment Adjustment for Medicare Disproportionate Share Hospitals (DSHs)
- Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program
- Hospital- Acquired Condition (HAC) Reduction Program
- Hospital Value-Based Purchasing Program (VBP)
- Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program (IQR)
- Cost Offset Adjustments Associated with the Delayed Implementation of the “Two-Midnight” Rule
- Expansion of Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) Program
