States Adopting Interstate Medical Licensure Compacts

To date, the following 17 states have adopted the interstate medical licensure compact (IMLC) model statute, and it is pending in at least nine other state legislatures. The IMLC, promoted by the Federation of State Medical Boards and Council of State Governments, is expected to make it easier for specialists to practice across state lines, opening the doors more telemedicine healthcare delivery models.
