First Illinois Chapter past president accepts consulting principal role
Dan Yunker, MBA, has accepted the position of healthcare consulting principal at Crowe in Oak Brook, Illinois. His previous role was regional CFO at Loyola Medicine in Chicago.
Yunker has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 28 years, previously holding executive roles with Northwestern Medicine, Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council and Aon. He also served as a director at HFMA for more than five years.
Outside of work, Yunker is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Healthcare Auditors and HFMA’s First Illinois Chapter. He was president of the Chapter in 2013-14 and is currently HFMA’s CFO golf outing program co-chair.
Tennessee Chapter member voted one of Nashville’s best CEOs
Scott Mertie, president of Kraft Healthcare Consulting, LLC in Nashville, and HFMA Tennessee Chapter certification and professional development committee chair, was selected for the Nashville Business Journal’s 2019 Most Admired CEOs and Their Companies awards. The winners were determined through a public nomination process, followed by a closed voting process among the nominees.
Colorado-based CFO accepts new role in Kansas
David W. Usher recently took on the role of CFO at Edwards County Medical Center in Kinsley, Kansas. His previous role was CFO at Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, Colorado.
Member earns promotion at Kentucky hospital
Lisa Tobler Campbell, MBA, received a promotion to executive director revenue cycle at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky. Her previous role at Murray-Calloway was director of revenue cycle.
3 members newly hired to the revenue cycle team at BJC HealthCare
HFMA members Cole Elmer, Carson Spaete and Harold Mueller recently took on new roles at BJC HealthCare in St. Louis.
1. Elmer accepted the position of vice president of revenue management at BJC. His previous role was vice president of revenue cycle operations at R1 Revenue Cycle Management in Indianapolis.
2. Spaete is now BJC’s vice president of patient access. Her prior role was program director at Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, California.
3. Mueller was appointed executive director of health information management and clinical documentation improvement at BJC. His previous position was director of patient access at Barnes Jewish Hospital, also in Saint Louis.
