Two HFMA members recently were promoted to chief officer positions at HRG, an employee-owned revenue cycle management company based in Spokane Valley, Washington.
Mark Bell, CPA, is HRG’s new CFO. He previously was the company’s vice president of finance. Bell has been credited with ensuring that HRG stayed financially stable throughout the pandemic.
HRG promoted Jason Coffin, CHFP, CRCE, from executive vice president of operations to COO. In announcing Coffin’s promotion, HRG also recognized his pandemic-related leadership as the company transitioned its corporate headquarters to a fully remote workforce.
Both Bell and Coffin are members of HFMA’s Washington-Alaska Chapter.
Trumbo is new CFO at Methodist Hospitals
Lauren Trumbo, CPA, has been appointed CFO and vice president of finance for Methodist Hospitals in Gary, Indiana. She previously was CFO for Community Healthcare System’s St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. Trumbo is a member of HFMA’s First Illinois Chapter.
Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic hires Boblitz as new CEO
Michael C. Boblitz, MBA, has been named as CEO of Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic. In the new position, he will oversee about 350 employees, including 28 physicians. A member of HFMA’s Georgia Chapter, Boblitz has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. He most recently served as CEO at Reagan Medical Center, a full-service practice in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Penn State Health taps Chabalowski as CFO
Penn State Health recently named Edward Chabalowski as vice president of finance and CFO for its Berks and Lancaster county region. Previously CFO for two hospitals within Tower Health, Chabalowski will serve as the senior financial leader for Penn State Health St. Joseph and the future Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. He also will work in close coordination with the Penn State Health Medical Group practices in the area. Chabalowski is a member of HFMA’s Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter.
MD Anderson hires Sultan as new CFO
Omer Sultan has been named as senior vice president and CFO at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, which is one of the world’s foremost centers devoted exclusively to care of patients with cancer as well as cancer research, education and prevention. A member of HFMA’s First Illinois Chapter, Sultan most recently served as the vice president of finance at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in Chicago, the parent corporation of a $6.7 billion, 11-hospital academic health system serving the greater Chicago area.
Martin joins EIRMC as CFO
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) in Idaho Falls, Idaho, recently announced that Aaron Martin, CHFP, CPA, MBA, would be joining the hospital’s administrative team as CFO. Martin comes to EIRMC from its HCA Healthcare sister facility John Randolph Medical Center near Richmond, Virginia, where he served as CFO for three years. Previously a member of HFMA’s Virginia-Washington D.C. Chapter, Martin is a new member of the Idaho Chapter.
