Kaleida Health taps Matthew Drake and Hugh Chisholm for new roles
Two HFMA fellows have been appointed to new leadership positions at Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare provider in Western New York.
Matthew Drake, FHFMA, MBA, is the health system’s new executive vice president of strategy and partnerships. Drake, a member of HFMA’s Rochester Regional Chapter, previously was Kaleida’s executive vice president and CFO. Prior to joining Kaleida, he was vice president of business development and network growth at Rochester Regional Health.
“If we are to meet our mission of advancing the health of our community, we need a leader who is solely focused on change, partnerships and collaboration,” said Don Boyd, Kaleida’s president and CEO. “This is something Matt has a passion for and something he has been involved in since he came to Kaleida Health.”
Replacing Drake as Kaleida’s executive vice president and CFO is Hugh Chisholm, FHFMA, CSAF, CPA. Chisholm most recently was senior vice president and CFO of acute care hospitals for Rochester Regional Health, where he was responsible for leading all financial aspects of the $3 billion-plus health system.
“We are pleased to recruit a leader and finance specialist like Hugh to our team,” said Boyd. “Healthcare economics continue to change at a very rapid pace. With nearly 20 years of hospital and health system financial experience, we are confident that Hugh can step into the CFO role here and help lead Kaleida Health through these changes of healthcare delivery.”
Like Drake, Chisholm is a member of the Rochester Regional Chapter of HFMA.
