Always Forward!

That is the theme set by our National Chair this year.

Always Forward is more than just a theme—it’s a call to action. It’s about progress, growth, and continuous improvement. In the face of challenges and changes, it’s crucial to keep moving forward, embracing new opportunities, and striving for excellence. This mindset is essential in adapting to the evolving landscape of our professional and personal lives. By looking ahead and focusing on forward momentum, we can overcome obstacles, innovate, and thrive.

Always forward with live education, certifications, and valuable engagement for our members and sponsors. Embracing this theme means committing to lifelong learning and development. It means recognizing the importance of staying current with industry trends and best practices through live education sessions. These opportunities not only enhance our professional skills but also foster a sense of community and shared purpose among our members.

I am honored to serve as this year’s president of the Central PA chapter of HFMA. I would like to thank our past-president, Chris Schenkel, for his leadership over the past year and his investment in both myself and the chapter. I am pleased to announce Amber Schon will be serving as President-Elect, Tamara Dickey as Secretary, and Courtney Kent as Treasurer. We also have a dynamic Board of Directors who will work hard to provide leadership and engagement to the entire chapter.

Our goals this year are centered around, but not limited to:

Increase Certifications: To improve the knowledge of our members.
- ALWAYS FORWARD to the next certification: Certification not only validates our expertise but also enhances our credibility and competitiveness. By encouraging continuous professional development, we ensure that our members are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
Engage Enterprise Members in the Local Chapter:
- ALWAYS FORWARD to “Engage Locally”: Building strong local networks is vital. Engaging enterprise members at the local level fosters a sense of community and support. It allows us to share resources, insights, and opportunities, strengthening our collective impact.
Additional Exposure for Sponsors:
- ALWAYS FORWARD with exposure and valuable engagement for our sponsors: Our sponsors play a crucial role in supporting our initiatives. By providing them with increased visibility and meaningful engagement opportunities, we create a win-win scenario that benefits both our members and sponsors.

Please, challenge and engage the Officers and the Board this upcoming year. We are here for you and want to ensure we are moving this chapter in the direction the membership wants it to go. Attend a meeting, volunteer for a small role at an education session, or inquire about a leadership opportunity with the chapter because it is ALWAYS FORWARD!
