Comparison of 2024 Physician Fee Schedule Final Payment Rates to October 2023 Payment Rates – Updated

HFMA provides an updated spreadsheet comparing the 2024 physician fee schedule payment rates to the 2023 payment rates. The updated PFS rate comparisons are based on the updated 2024 PFS national RVU contractor file that CMS posted on its website on January 3, 2024. The spreadsheet contains the following information in separate tabs:

1. CY 2024 Rates Compared to Payment Rates in Effect as of October 1, 2023: Total RVUs and Payment Comparisons Only (Sorted by Status Code – Active Codes First)
2. CY 2024 Rates Compared to Payment Rates in Effect as of October 1, 2023: Comparison of RVUs, Payments, and all Information
3. Lookup Single Code (Allows the user to lookup PFS payment information on a single code – select code from drop-down box or type in code in Cell B1)
4. CMS Table of Status Indicators

Note: 2024 PFS payment rates may be impacted by ongoing negotiations in Washington, early 2024.
