Employed Physician Alignment Lags Hospital C Suite Assumptions

Healthcare executives’ perceptions of alignment between their organizations and their employed physicians may not be as close as they assume, according to a survey by Jackson Healthcare, Alpharetta, Ga., that surveyed more than 1,000 physicians and 127 hospital executives in March, 2016. Researchers concluded that by emphasizing improvement in two areas—trust in hospital leadership teams and quality communication—physician employment satisfaction will increase.
