President’s Welcome

It is both an honor and a privilege to address you today as the newly appointed President. I approach this role with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The excitement arises from my deep appreciation for what HFMA embodies and the invaluable opportunities it offers for both personal and professional growth, higher learning and camaraderie. The chance to contribute to its mission excites me. However, I also recognize the immense responsibility that comes with the role and with following in the footsteps of our dedicated predecessors.

The leaders who came before me were committed to education, were supportive, and wholeheartedly devoted to ensuring the chapter’s ongoing success. Their hard work and dedication have allowed us to thrive in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. As we move forward, it is crucial that we maintain this commitment to education, alignment, and progress.

Our chapter thrives because we dare to take risks. We refuse to be bound by the status quo. As your leader, I promise to continue fostering an environment where innovation and openness flourish. Your acceptance of my leadership style, even in this short time as a member, reflects the collective efforts we all make to support one another and reaffirms our collective commitment to success. I am grateful for the backing of the board, our dedicated volunteers and our members.

Our sponsors and providers play a pivotal role in our success. Without their alignment with our chapter goals, we would not be the thriving community we are today. Thank you for your support and partnership.

As we align with HFMA’s national theme, “Sempre Avanti” (which means “Always Forward”), we must prepare for what lies ahead. Tomorrow holds uncertainties in the workplace, healthcare, politics, and our personal lives. While we cannot control every outcome, we can equip ourselves, our teams, our loved ones, and each other to navigate the challenges effectively.

I warmly invite each of you to join me in this collective journey of learning, teaching, and personal growth as we navigate towards a brighter future. Together, let’s foster compassion and understanding as we learn, evolve, and adapt. Today, we lay the foundation for a better tomorrow. Your unwavering support is deeply appreciated, and I am eager to embark on this transformative journey alongside each of you.
